Project Overview:

 

p-cherokee county.jpgThe $22 million, three-story county administration building, spanning 78,000 square feet, houses the Board of Commissioners and relelated departments. The conference center consists of a large auditorium, and over 8,000 square feet of meeting space with the ability to host 575 visitors.

In an effort to educate the public, the county will use various visual and web based instruments to illustrate the buildings green features.

Sustainable Design Features:

  • Use of low volatile organic compounds (VOC) materials
  • Reduced heat island
  • 20% of building materials used have recycled content
