Commercial / Interiors

The Arthur M. Blank Family Office
The Arthur M. Blank Family Office is Georgia’s first Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED®) Gold Certified building and the first LEED Gold-Certified office building in the southeast.
ASHRAE Headquarters Renovation
CxGBS performed services as a part of the ASHRAE Headquarters Renewal. The teams combined effort provides a healthy and productive environment for staff, showcases ASHRAE technology, while demonstrating the society's commitment to sustainability with a LEED Gold certification and on site "Living Lab"

Education

North Charleston Elementary School
The New North Charleston Elementary School (NCES), replacing the original one built in 1922, complements and enhances the work of teachers and students. The design and construction provide teachers with physical examples to illustrate sustainable development principles, including daylighting, re-use of materials from the old school, and energy efficiency. It is the state’s first LEED Certified elementary school.
Homewood Middle School
A model of how to apply sustainable development principles, the new school is a “teacher” of sustainable design. The first LEED Certified building in Alabama, the project received a Silver rating.
Alabama 4-H Environmental Science Education Center
This interactive environmental education center, designed to minimize total cost of ownership and environmental impact, links environmental consciousness with economic functionality.
The Suites at Spelman College
This 303 bed residence hall, designed to showcase Spelman College's commitment to sustainability, reduces environmental impacts while providing a comfortable home to its residents supportive of the learning environment.
Sutton Hall Administration Building
Located in the Mississippi Delta, Sutton Hall is the Administrative Building for MS Valley State University.

Thatcher Hall - Darlington Middle School
Darlington School, which was founded in 1905, completed a major expansion with their LEED Gold middle school.
Oak Ridge High School
This 50+ year old school was in dire need of rehabilitation having outdated infastructure and lacking the appropriate learning space and technology to serve the key progrmamatic issues of the 21st century. The best solution was to full gut, rebuild and expand the high school building for a new generation of students.

Government

Donald Stuart Russell Building
The Donald Stuart Russell Building is a U.S. Courthouse based in Spartanburg, SC. As part of the ARRA stimulus package, this federal building along with many others, received Retro-Commissioning services.
Public Safety Headquarters - City of Atlanta
The City of Atlanta's LEED Silver certified Public Safety Headquarters provides a new home for both the Atlanta Police Department and the Department of Fire and Rescue. Its design and construction showcased the city of Atlanta's commitment to sustainability in its public buildings
The Aircraft Rescue Fire Facility #33, Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport
This Airport fire station is the City of Atlanta’s first public building to apply sustainable development principles using the LEED rating system and acheived LEED certification in July 2007.
State of Louisiana Claiborne and LaSalle Buildings
The State of Louisiana saved more than $5 million in construction costs through design phase commissioning of two new $100 million office buildings, and significantly reduced the project team’s risk.
Tuscaloosa Federal Building & Courthouse
As part of the Tuscaloosa Urban Renewal and Redevelopment Project, The Tuscaloosa Federal Building, will be LEED Silver certified and home to numerous local, state and federal government offices
Harold D. Donohue Federal Building & Courthouse
CxGBS® analyzed the mechanical systems and controls to reduce energy consumption in this Federal building and Courthouse, constructed in 1930. CxGBS’ investigation provided energy efficiency tips which helped optimize building performance
Cherokee County Administrative Building and Conference Center
Located in Canton, Georgia, "Where Metro meets the Mountains". The facility is home to all county planning. The LEED Silver building is setting the precedent for North Georgia's commitment to the environment.
C.F. Haynsworth Federal Building & U.S. Courthouse
CxGBS performed a through energy analysis and provided recommendations for improvement for this GSA facility, originally built in 1896.

Elbert P. Tuttle United States Court of Appeals - John C. Godbold Building
This LEED Silver Court of Appeals Annex Building, now named the John C. Godbold Building operates as a state of the art office space featuring two five-story buildings in anticipation of growth in staff.

Suwanee City Hall
Suwanne's new "Deco-style" facility, is the first City Hall in the state to become LEED certified


Recreation & Hospitality

Charlie Elliott Wildlife Center Banquet Hall
Located inside the Charlie Elliott Wildlife Center, the banquet hall is part of a lodging and conference facility that promotes environmental education. It received LEED Silver certification.
Balzer Theater
The Balzer Theater at Herren’s, the first free-standing theater in the southeast to receive LEED® Certification, also received an Urban Land Institute (ULI) Development of Excellence Award.
Little White House Museum
The Warm Springs, Ga. museum of the life and times of President Franklin D. Roosevelt preserves and protects Georgia’s natural resources through its green building program. The project received LEED Silver Certification and also won the Project Leadership Award from the Construction Owners Association of America.
Recreation Activity Center, Georgia Southern University
The expansion of the Recreation Activity Center includes additional space for indoor courts, weight/fitness room, indoor pools, and other specialized spaces. It received LEED Certification.
The Sweetwater Creek State Visitor and Interpretive Center
The Sweetwater Creek State Visitor and Interpretive Center received the first Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED®) platinum certification in the southeast. It serves as a model of environmentally friendly design, construction and operation.

Bio-Tech & Laboratories

Joseph B. Whitehead Biomedical Research Building, Emory University
The Joseph B. Whitehead Biomedical Research Building was the first facility in the Southeast – and among only 28 in the nation at the time – to be LEED Certified.


Industrial & Manufacturing

Day-Brite Capri Omega (DCO) Lighting Institute
The DCO Lighting Institute serves as an educational tool to help visitors learn about high-efficiency lighting that reduces operations costs and greenhouse gases contributing to global warming.
