H. J. Enck to Teach University of Wisconsin Commissioning Courses

ATLANTA (February 6, 2007) — H.J. Enck, principal and founder of Commissioning & Green Building Solutions, Inc. (CxGBS), a nationally recognized commissioning and green building consulting firm, will teach an enhanced commissioning course offered by the University of Wisconsin February 22-23 in Las Vegas; and April 26-27 and August 23-24 in Madison, WI.

The course, which offers an enhanced commissioning credit, is part of the College of Engineering’s 2006-07 Commissioning Process Courses. Enck’s course, entitled “The LEED® Additional Enhanced Commissioning Credit,” guides participants through the commissioning requirements of the U.S. Green Building Council’s Leadership in Environmental Energy and Design (LEED®) Green Building Rating Systems™ and provides immediately useful tools, tips and examples to make the LEED commissioning effort a success. Additional information is available at www.epd.engr.wisc.edu/.

Instructors for the courses are practicing professionals who have used the commissioning process from pre-design through occupancy on more than 100 projects. CxGBS has commissioned more than 200 projects ranging from office buildings, universities, K-12 schools, research laboratories, museums and recreational facilities.

Enck has more than 20 years’ experience in HVAC, plumbing and alternative energy systems and energy efficiency analysis. He is a LEED accredited professional and contributing author of ASHRAE’s Green Guide; a founding member of the U.S. Green Building Council Atlanta Region Chapter; and member of several USGBC technical advisory groups.
