Project Overview:
To provide an ideal space for visitors to view museum exhibits chronicling the life and times of President Franklin D. Roosevelt, the Georgia Department of Natural Resources constructed a new museum and visitor center for Roosevelt’s presidential retreat.
The environmental impact was minimized during site development and construction to preserve and protect natural resources. Construction waste management, reduced potable water use and optimized energy performance were also achieved.
The project was awarded a LEED Silver Certification.
