With its knowledge and experience in building operations CxGBS has pioneered Green Operations™, a set of policies and procedures that carry sustainable design principles and practices beyond design and construction into the continuing operation of the building. Green Operations™ can also be applied to existing buildings seeking to increase sustainability.
Professional Services
CxGBS professionals work with owners to develop sustainable operating goals that are aligned with a building's mission and overall user requirements. We work with clients in the evaluation and redevelopment of existing policies as well as in development of new policies that increase environmental performance of facilities.
We evaluate building operations practices to find opportunities for reducing energy consumption, enhancing indoor environmental quality and improving occupants’ psychological and physiological perceptions of their indoor environment. We provide procedures such as Measurement & Verification plans to provide a method for owners to monitor and verify building performance, and use tools such as Energy Star Portfolio Manager to evaluate the performance of existing buildings.
Policies developed by CxGBS can be used and implemented to achieve credit under both LEED Existing Buildings: Operations & Maintenance (EB:O&M) or Green Globes Continuous Improvement of Existing Buildings (CIEB) certification. Some of these policies include:
