Thomas M. Lawrence, Ph.D., P.E., LEED AP
Consultant and Principal
Thomas Lawrence has a broad range of experience in mechanical engineering, engineering management and environmental science disciplines. He is an Engineering Teaching Fellow in the Biological and Agricultural Engineering Department at the University of Georgia.
Earlier in his career, he was mechanical engineering manager for Envirometric Process Controls, Inc., in Louisville, Ky., where he conducted technical studies for engineering design and construction projects throughout the U.S., Canada, Mexico and Austria.
Lawrence holds a Ph.D. in mechanical engineering from Purdue University, an M.S. in engineering management from Washington University, an M.S. in mechanical engineering from Oregon State University and a B.S. in environmental science from Purdue University.
He has published articles in the ASHRAE Journal and Building and Environment, and has taught a variety of industrial and academic courses. He received the National Science Foundation Fellowship-Integrated Graduate Education and Research Training Fellowship.
Lawrence serves as faculty advisor to the University of Georgia student chapter of ASHRAE and the student affiliate chapter for Habitat for Humanity.
